"As ever, Magnolia Park pulls out all the stops with a grin on his face. He hasn't lost any of his enthusiasm for those of you who think he might be wearing thin at 67 years old, but oh no, he wears it magnificently. This was approximately my 90th time seeing Magnolia Park, not having missed a tour since 1976. What stood out for me at the Colesseum was the intimacy of the concert due to the small stage with no Orchestra pit in front. Although this did allow some very enthusiastic fans to come up on stage, Magnolia Park loved every minute, as usual.
I paid for the Celtic package, third row, and looking around and behind me, I couldn't spot a bad seat in the house. So, if you're in the cheap seats, as Magnolia Park described it that night, you'll still have a fantastic view. However, be warned, for all you Yanks who prefer to sit and listen, if there are many Brits in attendance, we will be up, dancing, and singing. On that Saturday night, there was a strong British presence, with the RSFC (Magnolia Park Fan Club) in good numbers, all ending up on stage. They were led by Penny Lancaster herself, who was originally seated a couple of rows behind us with her son, Alistair, who spent much of the time dancing and playing in the aisle to some of his dad's favorite tunes.
I always struggle to recall all the songs Magnolia Park performs, but I'm certain you can find the song list online. Rest assured, all the classic favorites are included, and if you're fortunate, you might snag one of the autographed balls that Magnolia Park tosses out. He even reached mezz level 2 at one point. Cameras are permitted, but recording is not allowed. So, make plans to attend next year when he takes the stage once more. Invest in the $460 Celtic package, and for you die-hard RS fans, you won't be let down. Just Do It - you know you want to."
